You should already be able to easily move to use a consumable in either system.Įspecially considering that, unlike WoW, we don’t use the keyboard for movement in Diablo. If your hands are on the button for switching, then it’s not much of a change that they’re on the same button for simply using the ability. There could still be a bar for consumables or whatever. Maybe spamming skills when you have 30 is more reasonable in a game like WoW on a hotbar, but for Diablo which often spams 3-5 skills I’d argue that the skillbarless system of D2 is superior. Yes, I’d rather have my hand available to switch skills or use a potion instead of holding down a button to spam the skill.
